SPECIAL OFFERING OF THIS COURSE - HELD IMMEDIATELY AFTER NACAT CONFERENCE @ CONFERENCE VENUE


The transition to electric vehicles creates a unique challenge for secondary and post-secondary automotive technology programs and instructors. This three-day event will explore these new technologies and provide educators the knowledge and skills to take these programs from planning through implementation.


This dynamic program alternates classroom and hands-on instruction for a fast-paced, deep dive into EV instruction. Each experience is designed with educators in mind and will provide learning activities and resources for implementation at your school.

Join us as we gather for our annual BBQ and Valve Cover Races, both of which are INCLUDED in your training package/guest passes.


Get ready to unleash your inner racer and join us for the most exhilarating event of the year: the Annual Valve Cover Races!


Whether you're a seasoned racer or a first-time participant, there's a place for everyone on the track. So, dust off those racing gloves, polish up those wheels, and prepare to make history as you race against the best and brightest in the industry.


Worried about traveling with your valve cover car? Ask someone local to bring one, make one, or ship it to the hotel!



Valve Cover Races

Rules:

  • You must use an automotive valve cover.
  • No engines or propulsion.
  • No moving weights.
  • Wheel can be attached to the car in any manner, but must not extend beyond the front of the valve cover.
  • Nothing can extend beyond the front of the valve cover.
  • Wheel must have a non-metallic surface contacting the track.

Critical Dimensions:

  • 30 inch maximum overall car length.
  • 15 inch maximum overall car width.
  • 10 inch maximum overall car height.
  • 10 pounds maximum weight by official scales.



NACAT Welcome Reception:

Included in Conference Package, the Welcome Reception is open to all attendees with a real emphasis on networking. The Welcome Reception will be hosted by DSM Precision Manufacturing this year.

DSM Precision Manufacturing 2024 Welcome Reception Tour.


Ever wondered what goes on behind the scenes at DSM's state-of-the-art machining and racing headquarters? We are excited to give you a peek behind the curtain with a private tour of our facility. Your group will tour the DSM Precision Manufacturing machine and fabrication shops, get a front seat view of the motorsports manufacturing process and see the race pits of various NHRA teams!


Tour will last approximately 30 minutes – participants must be US citizens and will be required to complete a background check and sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement.

When you sign up with NACAT, you'll be a part of a personalized Toyota customer visit offering a tour behind the scenes of the facility and observe how Toyota became the #1 selling forklift.


There will be a limit of 25 people. Transportation not provided.
