Areas of specialization: Steering/suspension, brakes, electrical, engine perf. Short bio: I have worked as a technician for both large corporations and independently owned and operated repair facilities. I began teaching at Columbus State after meeting Jack Erjavec and in 1995 replaced one of my former high school auto tech teachers.
The last several years I have been working as a freelance author for Delmar Cengage Learning. What has NACAT done for me and what it means to me:
NACAT has provided me with a much larger view of the world of teaching auto tech.
Being in a one-teacher high school program tends to narrow your field of view and there are not always opportunities to meet with others who are in similar situation. NACAT provides a way not only to meet other teachers, but get excellent training and develop a real network of friends that you can count on for help if needed. It is also very refreshing to meet with others who are working at improving themselves and their programs.
