Position Description About Alfred State College: Nestled in a beautiful valley in the Southern Tier of New York, Alfred State has a long tradition of drawing the best faculty and staff from every field. Job Description: The Alfred State College Automotive Department is in search of an instructor to teach in our two year A.O.S. degree program. The ideal applicant will be experienced and proficient in all aspects of automotive repair. The primary responsibilities include instructing and advising students in our automotive department curriculums. The topics to be taught may include but are not limited to: Welding, Estimating, AC, Heating, Cooling Systems, Electrical, Brakes, Suspension, and New York State Inspection. The ideal candidate will also be fluent with computers used for word processing, email, and grading.
Requirements An associate or higher degree, and a minimum of seven years of experience, with five of those years working as a technician, are required. Certifications and factory service training are desirable.
